In his latest book, venerated journalist Dan Rather reflects on—and writes passionately about—what it means to be an American. With this collection of original essays, he reminds us of the principles and freedoms that define us. He traces where we have been in order to help us chart a way forward and heal our bitter divisions. With a fundamental sense of hope, What Unites Us is the book to inspire conversation and listening, and to remind us all how we are, finally, one. Rather discusses his work with NBC News Correspondent Katy Tur at St. Joseph’s College as part of the Brooklyn Voices series.

Each $20 ticket includes admission to the event, as well as a pre-signed paperback copy of What Unites Us. Books are distributed at the event, and additional books are for sale; pre-signed copies of Dan Rather’s What Unites Us and of Katy Tur’s Unbelievable will be available for sale.
