12 Days of Christmas (LEGO)
It’s The Twelve Days of Christmas, Lego-style! The book is a great twist on the classic, with more kid-friendly choices with digital Lego setups. From cups of cocoa to donut rings, this is a perfect book for the Lego lover in your life.
The illustrations were great. They looked like different scenes you could build with Lego. My personal favorite was the five donut rings page. There’s nothing like looking through the hole in a donut to make a fun picture. Tip: Pay attention to the plan that the kids come up with at the beginning.
The text was catchy. It followed the rhythm and rhyme of the traditional song but included things that kids would really enjoy. The robots dancing was a fun change to ladies dancing. My eight-year-old son really enjoyed the dancing robots because they were silly. My four-year-old daughter particularly liked the hot cocoa.
I recommend this book for four- to eight-year-old kids. It could be one of those favorites that kids will want to read year after year. A great addition to the Christmas book shelf for schools and parents alike.
