A Planet Like Ours

This book follows the line of four previous books teaching children about boys, girls, friends, and teachers. The series now moves from individuals and learning about why they are important to learning about why protecting the Earth is important and the steps children can take to protect it from the various industries that are polluting the planet.

This colorful book is designed for children to read out loud to their families or in the classroom. The language is fairly easy for young children, with very few multi-syllable words to trip them up. The art is easy to follow and provides a way for children who might be struggling reading on their own to receive the message being presented by the authors.

Each section of the book presents different issues the Earth is facing and the role children can play in protecting the Earth. This includes helping to plant trees, protect animals from harm, and picking up litter. One of the main themes of the book is to demonstrate that there is only one Earth and that it is our duty to protect it.
