A Shadow Intelligence

A Shadow Intelligence by Oliver Harris is a thrilling read. The book introduces MI6 operative Elliott Kane, who is highly trained, highly skilled, and highly modern, combining his more conventional spy skills with cybertechnology and social media savvy to become a truly remarkable spy. Kane has to use all of those skills to embark on a mission that will keep him (and you!) guessing until the very end.

This book is a fun read, although it’s also one with many plot lines, twists, and turns. Elliott Kane has lived undercover for so long that he doesn’t really even know who he is anymore. Nor does he know who’s watching him or who his adversaries and allies really are. After receiving some mysterious clues, Kane goes on an unauthorized intelligence mission to find his former love interest. Along the way, the reader is treated to detailed descriptions of the spycraft, settings, and characters that Kane encounters, making the story seem realistic even as it seems impossible.

A Shadow Intelligence is one of the most fun reads of the year so far.
