All This I Will Give to You

How well do you know your spouse? Sure, you might be married and claim to share no secrets from each other, but do you really know them and do you really know all their secrets and what they are really thinking. In rural northwestern Spain, a single car crashes and inside is young Manuel Ortigosa, son of the local aristocrat. His husband, Alvaro, is a fairly successful writer in Madrid. Not knowing that his husband went to Galicia or that he is even an aristocrat, he finds the news shocking. He sets off to the Galicia area to first bury his husband but gets entangled into an old and wealthy family that he did not know existed with all their secrets, deaths, and murders. Alvaro tries to find out what really happened to Manuel, and by extension his family, before it buries him deeper and before it becomes fatal.

Even though it is fairly long, it moves at a fast pace that keeps the pages turning. Thankfully it is one of the Spanish mysteries that does not just take place in one of the big cities. Instead, it gives us a view of a more rural lifestyle.
