An Appointed Time

A very compelling book that I simply couldn’t put down. Each page, each chapter, one after the other, had me hooked. James Redfearn has a very intriguing way of writing, one that simply captures the smell, sounds, pace, and life in the 1950s Massachusetts. Between the cops and bad guys, the immigrants, drunks and politicians, James Redfearn had you hooked from the beginning. I’d definitely recommend this book if you have a love for accurately grasped history in times of post-World War Two. James Redfearn certainly understands the threats that the world faces after such a compelling war that tore the world apart. He understood and grasped the right narrative in details that will have you hooked from page one. Mr. Redfearn did a fantastic job in grasping the tenor of society and politics that raged in the early to late 1950s. It’s one of the most fantastic books I have read in the longest time, and I will continue to recommend it among everyone I know. It’s simply a story you have to reread as time goes on. An amazingly done, fantastic book.
