Antoni: Let’s Do Dinner
This is a visually appealing book, which includes lovely photos of each dish, as well as photos of author Antoni Porowski and friends enjoying good food. Thick, glossy pages should hold up to spatters while putting it to use in the kitchen.
The beginning of the book has a spread of “10 Fast Favorites” – highlighted recipes from within the book that are fast and easy to make. The book is structured by type of meal, beginning with salads you can eat as a dinner, to vegetarian dishes, chicken& turkey, and more.
While the recipes may seem intimidating for the casual cook, diving into the directions proves that there isn’t much that’s unusual or overly difficult.
There’s a nice variety to the recipes and different regions represented as well, from nachos, pork burgers, and pasta to shakshuka and Armenian pita pizza.
There’s a little something for everyone in this book. It’s also rounded out by a list of standard ingredients to have on hand all the time and an easy to use index to each recipe. If you’re looking for something to freshen your meal rotation but you’re a little hesitant about cookbooks that are too fancy, this would be a good place to start.
