Most people know John Cena because of his wrestling and acting careers. In this book, Cena shows that he cares about humanity and discusses his philanthropic side with fans. Be a Work in Progress is full of happy, positive sayings and quotes that will brighten anyone’s day. Quotes such as “When called upon do your best. That’s all anyone can ask.” and “Instead of trying to find the right person, try to be the right person. Get to a point where you love yourself, and you might be surprised at the company you choose to keep.” are life lessons that anyone can apply.

This book would be perfect to have on your desk and to choose one quote out of every day for an “affirmation of the day.” There can never be too much positivity given or received. Although I found the quotes to be enriching and enlightening, I felt the illustrations could have been a lot more energetic and fun. Overall, this is a great book for all ages, young and old.
