Buy This, Not That: How to Spend Your Way to Wealth and Freedom
Founder of “The Financial Samurai” and walk-how-you-talk mentor Sam Dogen has the real-life experience and expertise to advise the audience on ways of saving your money, but more importantly, increasing it through the easiest ways possible. Buy This, Not That explains in layman’s terms, with some charts and graphs, every aspect of money, including determining your initial mindset about getting rich, putting your money to work to reach maximum wealth potential, working while you increase your funds, and determining the most important things in life that will serve as your drive and focus during the process of spending your way to financial freedom. Many aspects of his formula are ones that can be accomplished by the average person. At the end of each chapter, there are several bullet points of reminders to simplify the information but not expand on meanings.
My expectations of the book were different when reading it versus seeing it for the first time; I initially thought the information would be much simpler and revolve solely around purchasing common items, but instead, there are formulas to follow and much more involved than one would think. This book has the perfect formula for a successful book – a knowledgeable and informed author and doable activities with statistically-proven positive outcomes.
