Her charming neighbor lends a hand as she works to unfold Carl’s secrets and how his death connects to an unseen buyer who is desperate to obtain her property.

The story explores the theme of grief and starting over as Kate finds herself going back to what she loved when she was younger so as the mystery progresses you also see her reconnecting with people and finding a place for herself. A set of characters is introduced that you’ll instantly connect with and want to see more of such as the delightful Marguerite and the charming Daniel. Twists and turns will keep you guessing until the surprising conclusion with a mystery that packs the clues and serves as a suspenseful foray into this charming town. Deadly to the Core is a great kick-off to a series with a genuine portrayal of life after loss, a delightful assortment of characters, and a well-rounded mystery.
