Discovering April

After giving herself completely to her boyfriend over the past couple of years, April finds herself dumped and wondering where it all went wrong. She has lost her identity and spirals into depression, not a good place to be as a college junior. Next-door neighbor and estranged childhood friend Jared works to renew their friendship, leading April back to the girl she once was. Soon the two find that they are exactly what the other needs in order to make themselves whole again, but when tragedy strikes, will their relationship and all that they’ve worked for go up in flames? Or will they give their relationship the fighting chance it deserves?||My biggest complaint with this book is its plot inconsistencies, namely a major “mystery” that is alluded to but is actually a vehicle for a whole different book in a completely different genre (paranormal). The level of unnecessary drama was also a bit high, which made the likeability of the characters questionable. The premise of the book is a New Adult staple, and this could be a really great book given more development, but in its current release, it falls a bit flat.
