Faith: Taking Flight
Faith is a normal teenage girl. She likes to write, works at the local animal shelter, and hangs out with her friends. However, she has her secrets, one, she can fly and two she’s the blogger behind the famous blog Faithfully Yours that covers The Grove TV show.
When The Grove begins shooting in Glenwood, Faith can’t contain her excitement. She has a chance encounter with the famous Dakota Ash and the two become close. Faith is having trouble juggling friends, liking Dakota and Johnny, and her Grandmother becoming forgetful. When everything comes to its head will Faith be able to save the day or plummet trying?
The writing is amazing. You can really feel Faith as well as the other characters as they deal with daily life as well as the strange things going on in Glenwood. The text feels easy to read and I found myself getting lost in the story. You’ve gotta love Faith. She is kind to everyone and a little naïve at times. She is what I think most typical teens are over-committed and trying to figure out where they fit in this world. Ches and Matt were interesting side characters. They were supportive of Faith, but also let her know when she isn’t giving them the time their friendship deserved. Dakota is a great star character and easy for teens to faun over.
Johnny is a typical high school guy that Faith has had a crush on forever.
