Five Bad Deeds: A Novel
Ellen Walsh seems like a good person. She is raising three children, renovating her dream home, and tutoring kids in her free time. However, Five Bad Deeds will come back to haunt her and ruin her life. It all begins with an anonymous note in the mail, letting Ellen know that there are consequences and she is going to learn that lesson even if it kills her.
I immediately jumped at the chance to read this book because I loved the Cat Kinsella series. I was a bit disappointed. The plot was pretty far out there and none of the characters were likeable. This story is full of unkind people doing unkind things to each other and being surprised when it gets out of control to epic proportions. An apology at the beginning would have saved these people a lot of pain, as well as some honesty.
Overall, if you enjoy far-fetched plots and mean people, this book is for you. If you enjoyed the author’s other books, like me, you most likely won’t like this one.
