Forget Me Not tells the tale of a twenty-four-year-old woman named Linda Russell who escaped from her childhood home in the woods. It is many years later and Linda is living in an apartment in Washington, where she is being monitored by her father Arthur, a rich tech philanthropist. Flashbacks to the past haunt Linda, including memories of her twin sister Emmer and her mother Lorelei. She knows that she was born to replace her older sister Madeline who had died.

This story is very twisted. Linda is named “Clone Girl” so it is unclear if she was called that because she was actually a clone or if she was created naturally by Lorelei and Arthur as a replacement for Madeline. The best part of this book is when Linda meets her neighbor Anvi and her dog Nibbler and she finally has a friend she can trust.

The first part of the book did a great job of describing Linda’s thoughts and feelings in her new world and her friendship with Anvi, but the second half felt a bit like a forced storyline that, instead of putting together all of the pieces, just raised more questions.
