This bedtime tale begins in the forest, with all of the creatures and brilliance of nature being greeted with the awakening of a new day. From the protective mommy blue bird and her new babies to the delightful squirrel and tiny chipmunk among the trees, to the freshly blooming flowers and the soft, delicate breeze, the forest welcomes all those living within to the start of a new day! Even the steadily flowing stream and the lush moss and ivy blanketing the forest floor receive their salutations! Then, as the busyness of the day turns into the darkness of the night, the author gently calls the creatures of the woods to cease their activities and cozy up for a restful night of sleep. Even the plant life and other intricacies of nature are expected to slumber for a bit. The author closes with saying a soft “goodnight” to all who loom among the domains of the forest’s invisible walls.
