I Will Never Leave You

I Will Never Leave You is a twisted story about a man named James who is married to the wealthy Trish. James and Trish have tried for many years to conceive a child but to no avail. One day, James crosses paths with Laurel. They immediately hit it off and he gets her pregnant. What happens next completely threw me for a loop. James brings Trish to the hospital right after delivers the baby thinking he’d surprise her. Little did he know that Trish already knew everything and that she wants the baby for herself. The past of the three characters comes to light as the battle between the two women escalates.

I absolutely loved the book’s fast and engaging pace. I had a difficult time putting it down since the chapters fly by. Each of the main players alternates narration and gives their perspective on the events.

I felt James was a weak and passive-aggressive character surrounded by two bold, brave women who just wanted what was theirs—or not theirs. The ending had a sort of thundering conclusion with surprisingly quiet moments. A fantastic read for fans of domestic dispute, thriller, and/or suspense novels.
