I’ll Eat When I’m Dead
The book starts off with a bunch of women working for a very popular magazine who get caught up in the party scene. These women make sure to wear the most recent fashions, have the best make-up, and always look put-together no matter the occasion. When one of their best friends dies at the office, they think it is because she was stressed about an up coming story and trying to have the perfect look by starving herself–until Detective Mark Hutton receives a disturbing postcard from the victim herself after her death. After interviewing the murder victim’s best friend, Cat, Detective Hutton is convinced it was murder. Cat finds herself accidentally caught up in a murder and drug scenario. Cat, along with her good friend and co-worker, Bess, are attending the biggest fashion parties promoting the magazine when they realize that someone is trying to kill them also. As Detective Hutton is putting the pieces together to find the murderer, Cat and Bess are putting the pieces together themselves. I’ll Eat When I’m Dead is a page-turner and will keep you guessing about the next twist in the story.
