Journey of Awakening and Higher Consciousness is all about finding meaning and a sense of acceptance in our daily lives. In her early life, the author had an experience that led her to ask some fundamental questions about life and the possibility of finding peace and a higher consciousness that would give her more purpose in her life. She shares what she has learned in an attempt to help others find meaning in their own lives.

In the book, she gives the reader a glimpse into her personal experience and encourages us to appreciate anything and everything around us. For if we can bring ourselves to a place of love, we can find a path to awareness and a higher sense of being and consciousness, which should in turn give us a sense of peace and flow in our daily lives, as well as allow us to appreciate our place in this marvelous world.

The book is inspirational, insightful, and easy to read. It’s also easy to get a sense of how one can put into practice the suggestions the author makes to start their journey. Anyone can meditate, walk in nature, practice keeping a journal, or pray. All things that may help one find peace and well-being.

But, I did feel the book was a little repetitive. If the core of the work had been tightened up so that I didn’t feel I was reading the same thing in almost every chapter I think this could have been quite a profound and illuminating book.

Plus, I would have loved to know more about the author. She does give some information about an illness that led to her seeking out her pure nature and helping her journey to a sense of love and awakening, but it all felt rather impersonal. I didn’t get a sense of connection that would have made reading this more enjoyable.

That being said, I loved the poetic aspects of the book. The thoughts and phrases flowed well and gave me a sense of peace and love while reading. And I think one does get a sense of encouragement from it as well. Overall, I do think it is a nice choice for someone looking for encouragement and motivation to set them on a path to finding peace and love within which could lead to the start of their journey of awakening to a higher sense of awareness or consciousness.
