Killing God’s Enemies:: The Crazy War Against Jews, African-Americans and the U.S. Government
The most heinous of acts committed in our world emanate from misguided ideology, religious ideas perverted into fundamentalist beliefs. Christian identity is just one sect of radical thinking that has spawned coordinated acts of violence committed against different races, religions, and causes. The belief in purity and supremacy has spurred on the mission of a solitary warrior who acts out against the government who they believe has wronged them. Organized groups of hate such as The Order, The Aryan Republican Army, and others are profiled, along with their crimes, from armed robbery to murder. The chapters weave through the groups to the lone characters such as Byron De La Beckwith, the Klansman who murdered Civil Rights leader Medgar Evers, and Charleston gunman Dylann Roof. The motives that drove these and others are explored with a fine-tooth comb.
Killing God’s Enemies is a comprehensive view of the overt and covert world of hate. The positive message to be gained from this book is that the purveyors of hate and violence have been caught in almost all cases, their beliefs exposed as misguided and hateful. The author has done a service in revealing the myths and background of far-right groups. A must-read in many ways.
