Little Nothings

This book had so much promise when I started reading it. The story is about several couples and their children. Liv, the main character, has never had any real friends so when she meets Binnie and Beth, Liv is happy but weary. She always second-guesses if others really like her or not. Then a fourth member is introduced to the group; a woman named Ange who works with Beth. From the get-go, there is something off about Ange. She’s both passive-aggressive and fake nice at the same time with her own sneaky agenda. Liv catches onto it and falls into a hole of self-deprecation before meeting an eccentric young woman named Clara who helps her to take matters into her own hands.

I felt like this book could be labeled a drunken mess as it takes place on vacation with all of the characters and they all seem out of their minds. There is no character in this book who is likable at all. They all seem to be a bunch of confused middle-aged people. This book could have been alright if it was written in a straight line because there is a little revenge plot thrown in and the story is simple enough, but it was all over the place instead.
