My Wife Is Missing: A Novel
When Michael returns to his hotel room with pizza for his family, his first thought is My Wife Is Missing. Natalie and his children are gone, along with all their luggage. He gets the police involved, but it looks like she left willingly. Then the questions really begin. Why would she plan a trip to New York and then go on the run with her children? During his attempts to find them, things from Michael’s past begin to surface, making it seem like not only did Natalie willingly run, she had plenty of good reasons to do so. Natalie’s insomnia isn’t helping matters, as she tries to protect herself and her children from a man she thought she knew. How well do we really know those we love?
This story is full of suspense and twists. You think you know what’s happening and how it will turn out, but the insomnia side effects make you question what’s real and what’s not. The ending is very different from what you expect, which is always nice when reading thrillers. No one’s really innocent in this story, making it all the more complicated and gripping. Overall, it is an exciting thriller to add to your list.
