Nottingham
Ever been to Nottingham? King Richard is off on his Crusade and taxing the people more than they can bear in order to pay for it. The Sheriff is trying to keep things under control, but people are getting angry. Some have been taxed so much they have nothing left and have sought refuge at Locksley Castle where Marion is trying to help them. Under her advisement, they have made quite the band of men (and women) who are stealing from the rich in order to survive. But they accidentally steal a wagon full of supplies meant to go to the war, which brings Robin and William home to find them. They immediately run into this band of Marion’s men with Robin joining them and William escaping to the Sheriff. Both are working from their side to negotiate peace with the goal of returning to war, but things never turn out the way we plan, do they? Eventually, the story of Robin Hood will emerge and it won’t be quite like you thought.
Who doesn’t love a good Robin Hood story? I know I don’t get tired of it. This story has characters you’re familiar with but it is not your average Robin Hood tale. There is no outright good vs. evil and Robin isn’t the saint we make him out to be. This is a fantastic account of how every choice we make has consequences and that things aren’t always black and white. I recommend you check it out.
