Change is difficult for everyone, but the move from first grade to second grade is a big change. This is the story of a boy who is having a particularly difficult time accepting the move. It turns out his best friend, Tyler, isn’t even going to be in the same second grade class, and the boy’s parents won’t let him try to transfer out of Mr. Glazer’s class into the same class as Tyler. So the boy makes the logical decision. He will simply stay in first grade. All the work will be easy for him, and, after all, his first grade teacher gets him. Tyler’s sisters tell the boys about all the terrible things in second grade, but then to make things more confusing, they tell the boys about how Mr. Glazer is the coolest teacher ever. What is a boy to do?
