“What’s bald, and smelly, snogs kangaroos, wears shoes that don’t fit and a bra that’s too tight, (and knickers that need a good wash), smokes, drinks, and fights too much for her own good, and at this very moment in time has a mega hangover?”

Obsession is the wrong word, having undertones of disturbing, delusional behavior, so let’s say fixation. I have a Tank Girl fixation, and 2018 being Tank Girl’s thirtieth anniversary, I’ve had a lot of fuel for that fixation.

The latest (well, technically, oldest) bit of comic book mayhem to fire this love affair is Tank Girl Color Classics Book One, which takes us back to our favorite rouge’s early days in Deadline Magazine. And it does indeed “kick off with a bit of violence!”

The cool thing about this book, outside of collecting the oldies but goodies, is all the other stuff included such as photos from the good old days and back issue Deadline covers. A boon for the weirdoes who already call themselves fans, and a warm, wild welcome for anyone else.
