Good triumphs over evil in the comedic detective adventure thriller The Animal Rescue Agency #1: Case File: Little Claws. With a dashing verbal female foxy sleuth and her irrepressible rooster accomplice, the reader is taken on an exploit to save a vulnerable polar bear cub stranded on an ice floe. Both the detective, his concerned companion, the despairing cub along with other animals undergo traps and escapes from the devious villain planning to sell the victims for monetary gain. Gasp as the wily Esquire Fox continues to outfox this thug while the chastising but caring mother-hen-like rooster finds solutions. This nifty adventure story depicts animals with human characteristics that display anger, fear, friendship, empathy, compassion, hope, sparks ingenuity and portrays many other features that children can relate to. It also depicts the cruelty of animal trapping and hints at the problems engendered by climate change and melting ice affecting polar habitats. Esquire Fox and Mr. Pepper along with the illustrative cartoons take the young reader on an exciting and rewarding escapade.
