The Art of Magic: The Gathering – Kaladesh
The Art of Magic the Gathering – Kaladesh is a collection of art and history from the newest installment to the MtG universe. This collection is broken into different sections featuring stories about the new plane and telling us the backstory for the various groups, organizations, and races that are at play in the world. Each page features beautiful artwork from the game, showing the gorgeous new design that went into the plane of Kaladesh. If you or someone that you love has expressed interest or love for the Art of Magic or would want to learn more of the lore that goes into the universe, this would be a beautiful book to have.
So I have always loved Magic the Gathering since I was a child. My parents played it, my twin brother and I played it (Black and Green proud), and now my wife plays it. I have always had a deck wherever I live, just in case someone wanted to play. When I think back to those early days, I remember how much the art of the cards fascinated me, and this book, although from a new set, inspires many of the same feelings that I had about the art and storyline as a child. One thing that I will say is that, more often than not, when we encounter art books they feature sketches and concept art, but this book carries itself just fine without the addition. Overall, I would say this is definitely a good book for any fan of Magic the Gathering.
