The Big Sticker Book of Beasts
If you have a child in your life who loves all manner of animals, The Big Sticker Book of Beasts is a perfect gift. The activities in the book are interesting, and they occur alongside wild and wooly facts. Reading this book, I learned “hippos have sticky red sweat to protect their skin from sunburn.” It’s an odd detail, and just the kind of thing my five- and eight-year-old nieces would love to learn.
While the stickers in the back of the book might be a challenge for smaller hands, they are cleverly and colorfully rendered and neatly correspond to different activities in the book, making this an interactive adventure for any budding zoologist. And the stickers are reusable! So, if you have a child who likes the idea of a warthog on her remote-control car, or dragonflies on the back of a T-Rex, she can apply the stickers to those toys whenever she wants.
As educational as it is fun, Yuval Zommer’s The Big Sticker Book of Beasts is a can’t-miss kid-pleaser perfect for any occasion.
