The Investigator

Letty Davenport is an intrepid investigator for a Florida senator. Her most recent job was mundane, the targets all too obvious and inept. She vows to quit, but her boss offers her something more: a secondment to the Department of Homeland Security. The disappearance of oil has been plaguing the oil country in Texas, so Letty and her partner are sent to investigate.

The amount being siphoned off would have gone unnoticed if not for an accountant’s discerning eye. The accountant is later found dead, and Letty and her colleague find themselves on the trail of a paramilitary group bent on raising all sorts of discord and destruction in the name of patriotism. Letty will need all her grit and determination to make it through the case intact.

Letty Davenport is by no means a new character, but her stand-alone role in The Investigator allows her to shine brilliantly.
