The Night Before: A Novel

Laura Lochner thinks she is damaged goods. Every boy or man she has dated seems to be a bad boy or the wrong man, and bad things seem to happen to the males she dates. Laura doesn’t know what she does to cause these bad things to happen, but she suspects it’s her fault. Having recently moved in with her sister Rosie and Rosie’s husband, Joe, and their little boy, Mason, Laura is ready to start living again after several failed relationships. She goes on a dating site and agrees to meet a man named Jonathan on a first date. What happens from there is a race against time with Laura’s sister, Joe, and best friend Gabe trying to find out what happened to Laura when she doesn’t come home.

The Night Before is a fantastic book full of past stories and how they have affected the current lives of a group of friends. The wild goose chase that Laura’s family goes on is particularly engaging and kept my eyes glued to the pages of this book. The perfect read for lovers of thriller and suspense novels. You won’t be disappointed with the big twisted finale of this book.
