Lucy and the rest of the librarian staff create a display to honor art history just as a traveling show brings art showcases into town. Nothing goes to plan when a painting reproduction is missing, which creates chaos for everyone as they attempt to locate it. Lucy tries to put the chaos out of her mind when she gets a chance to go to a glitzy grand opening for the show only for it to end with the special guest found dead. Lucy bands together with her closest friends and her new husband as she sets about searching for a killer.

This is another delightful mystery that creates a new chapter in Lucy’s life now that she is happily married. She must learn to balance being open with her new husband with letting her curiosity drive her to search for a killer, which adds to the growth of her character. The story has a thread running through that focuses on Louise Jane’s search for love, which may put her in the center of the mystery. Surprises await with twists that will keep you turning the page until you find answers.

The Stranger in the Library has a great premise and engaging characters, and you’ll have fun following Lucy on another addicting mystery.
