The Sublime Ms. Stacks
Mr. Stephen is a very good librarian. He does all the things a good librarian should do, such as helping students find materials and keeping noisy kids quiet, but when it comes to things like arts and crafts and story time, well, those just don’t seem to be his cup of tea. But there is another librarian, Ms. Stacks, who is sometimes there, and she is great at arts and crafts (there is no such thing as too much glitter!), and when Ms. Stacks does story time, she does ALL the voices. And she and two other librarians lip-synch show tunes and teach the kids to dance. It’s funny that Mr. Stephen and Ms. Stacks never seem to be in the library at the same time.
Author Robb Pearlman has written a very fun story that will keep little ones engaged with the crazy antics of Ms. Stacks, who really is sublime. It will remind them of how wonderful libraries are, with so much to do and good people to help. The bright and super-fun illustrations by Dani Jones are filled with lots of delightful details to keep little eyes busy.
