Rose and her daughter, Anna, come to Paradox Lake for the semester to get some much-needed rest. It turns out that Rose and Anna have rented the home of a family whose daughter was murdered some thirty years ago. They begin to feel like they are being watched from the woods. History is about to repeat itself unless these Little Red Riding Hoods can figure out who the Big Bad Wolf is. The Wolf better prepare himself, as these are not helpless women. Red Riding Hood will fight back to protect the one she loves.

The idea was great, the execution not so much. I don’t think the male author pulled off the female main characters very well. It was almost impossible to find anyone likable in this story. It was fairly graphic both sexually and violently, with rape and murder. If those are trigger points for you, then avoid this book. I’m having a hard time coming up with a reason you should read it all. I could have done without it. The book is so short there is not much in the way of plot or character development. I wouldn’t bother to pick it up if I’m being honest.
