When Among Crows
“When among crows, you must caw as one.” In a world of witches, monsters and knights who slay them, you’d think it would be easy to know right from wrong; friend from foe. But it’s not. Three unlikely allies who know pain as a constant companion are thrown together to find the one person who may be able to make it stop. But not everyone wants them to find the witch; some want them to find her too much. And they are running out of time.
Every second of this book had me dying for more. And even after it ended, I really hope Roth continues to write about the characters and world she brings to life in When Among Crows. Set in modern Chicago, world is vibrant, dark and alive; the characters are thought out and different from each other with different motives and different personalities. Even the characters that only make a brief appearance. There’s a smidge of romance, very small yet very important and the other relationships are strong and meaningful. There is heavy cussing sporadically throughout.
