You Betrayed Me: The Cahills, Book 3
You Betrayed Me is one of those books that has a great plot and a great cast of characters, but the length of the book is completely unnecessary. The third book in Lisa Jackson’s Cahill series is about James Cahill, who is good-looking, wealthy, and clueless. The reader learns about James’ many escapades as he hops to and from the beds of his many lovers, all seemingly quite obsessed with the man. Things go a little too far when he ends up in the hospital with amnesia and his girlfriend Megan is missing.
There are many characters in the book which is confusing at times; however, the main characters are easily discernable, and the plot is easy to follow. This book did not need to be over four hundred pages to be a good read. There were several paragraphs I glided over that did not affect the storyline at all. The cast of characters was well thought out. Several of the female characters such as the reporter, Charity, and the pushy new girlfriend, Sophia, are very annoying, although they are an important part of the story. Overall, this book was a really good read for fans of suspense.
