You Will Remember Me: A Novel
Lily’s boyfriend, Jack, goes missing one night after going for a swim. While trying to find him, she discovers Jack isn’t his real name. Once she discovers his true identity, she heads to his hometown to confront him, only to discover that he has amnesia. Ash, as he’s really called, has a stepsister, Maya, that Lily never knew about, who had been searching for him for two years since he disappeared without a trace. Now that he’s back, Maya is determined not to let him go again. Lily and Maya are both working to get Ash to remember them, and their life together. Ash needs to figure out what memories are real and which aren’t. Only one of these women will go to any lengths so that You Will Remember Me.
This is a great addition to your summer read list. A fun twist on the classic case of amnesia, with the villain being different than you would expect. I enjoyed the questions it leaves you with, such as, is it better to forget, and are there some secrets you don’t share with those you love? If you enjoy stories of suspense, I suspect you’ll enjoy this one. I know I did.
