Bride of the Tornado: A Novel

Tornado Day approaches in a small midwestern town. Even with preparations underway, the town’s youth have never heard of Tornado Day. On the day of the celebration, the school kids get their first introduction to the Tornado Killer. He’s about their age, with a mystic air and one blue and one green eye. He lives by himself, not allowed to make contact with anyone while protecting the town from the tornados that plague the area. Our high school sophomore narrator frantically tries to make sense of the weird events and her attraction to the Tornado Killer.

As confusing as the story seems, Kennedy keeps the reader hooked with his vivid descriptions and the narrator’s infinite curiosity, trying to make sense of the messy business.
