Crime for the Books
The Jane Does are ringing in Halloween with a murder mystery party inspired by the work of Agatha Christie. Things take too real of a turn when someone turns up dead, and suspicion points to their friend Elaine. Lyla and the other Jane Does know she’s innocent and think it’s an easy case when the detective assigned is fellow member Rosa. Lyla is pushed to dig deeper when the case takes a sour turn due to Rosa’s strange behavior and the discovery of a shocking secret.
A murder mystery party comes to life when a real killer attacks and sends the Jane Does on the case. Each character adds humor and depth with their varying attitudes and spunk, which is seen in how they band together to help each other. Underneath the mystery is a focus on Lyla’s relationship with Brad, which has hit a bumpy road with complications that add drama to her life. Crime for the Books delivers a suspenseful mystery that draws upon the love of murder mysteries with an intriguing twist that is reminiscent of classic whodunits.
