In the Woods

In the Woods is everything I want in a book and more! I loved that this wasn’t your typical novel. We aren’t dealing with a potential serial killer but something more sinister and unexplainable. Chrystal and her father go to investigate attacks all the way in Oklahoma. As soon as they arrive, Chrystal immediately needs Logan, a local farm boy. Logan was the one who witnessed the gruesome attack on his family’s livestock. The more the attacks take place, the more danger Logan, Chrystal, and their families are in as well. I think the blurb is brilliant because we don’t really know what to expect going into the story, which is why my review probably sounds so vague. I don’t want to give too much away because it’s so cool! The subject matter is one I always find quite fascinating. If you’re looking for something different, I think this would be perfect for you. The authors hooked me from page one until the very end. Chrystal is the type of heroine who’s strong, vulnerable, and very relatable. Logan is the hero you swoon over. He was the perfect counterpart to Chrystal. Looking for a spooky, fun read? Look no further!
