Khaal
He is a mighty warrior who rules part of a prison ship that has been floating endlessly through space. He rules with an iron fist and is not afraid for it to get bloody. His name is Khaal, and he is a future galactic emperor.
We start off on the prison ship, where three races are divided into ruling sections of the ship. Khaal rules the human section, with designs of ruling the other two. After an abortive assassination attempt, his wish comes true, even though his two brothers decide it is time to leave Khaal. Then they run into another ship that has a mighty priestess who can see the future, and that is what Khaal wants, to be able to have visions of the future. He overpowers the priestess, takes over her ship, and incorporates it into the prison ship. And then he begins a quest of destruction and conquest across the galaxy.
The artwork is really nice, kind of like a European painting, the kind you often find in French comic books and graphic novels. It is sad that the story is very one-note, even with the intense amount of narration that is provided.
