Lies
This book is amazing, especially since I could never have guessed the ending, not in a million years. The author does a fabulous job of developing each character and making the reader realize that one or more of the characters may be unreliable.
Joe Lynch is married to Mel, and they have an adorable little boy. From the description the author gives, it sounds like Joe is a pretty big guy who can handle himself. He is a caring father and a wonderful husband who spends as much time as he can with his family. I especially loved the interaction with his son, Will. One day, Joe and Will see Mel’s car going to a hotel. They decide to surprise her but what Joe sees is Mel with another man. They are having a heated conversation. What’s more, Joe knows the man. The man is Mel’s best friend’s husband, Ben. Joe gets in an altercation with Ben in the parking lot and leaves after Will, his son, has an asthma attack. From there, things spiral into a web of doubt and deceit. Throughout the story, it seems as if Mel continues lying to Joe, and Joe keeps believing her. What is Mel hiding? The answer blew my mind. Lies is a fantastic read for fans of thriller and suspense fiction. Great characters, plot, and that twist at the end we all love.
