Wilbur the Gay Unicorn
Demonic death cults, tyrant kings, occultists, and sarcastic unicorns are just a few of the twisted wonders awaiting readers in this wild and wooly follow-up to Ralph Pincus: Occultist Extraordinaire, the first book of The World of Ralph Pincus series. Wilber the Gay Unicorn takes place after the events of the first book, taking the reader deeper into the world of drunk sorcerers and brutal battles against evil.
This is one of those books you have to experience. It’s best described as strange, twisted, oddly sick, but wonderful in a horrible sort of way. It’s a story that will take a certain kind of reader, one who possesses a great sense of (inappropriate) humor, appreciates the ironic and weird, and tolerates, if not enjoys, a fair share of gore. This is definitely not a book for anyone offended by obscenity, violence, or serious guy humor. While this is the second book in the series, the author does a fantastic (and hilarious) job at getting the reader up to date. Marcus Lambert has a delightfully satiric voice, though certainly an adult one (no readers under 18, please!). This is the kind of book to inspire a serious cult following.
