Elmer and the Tune
Elmer meets Rose, who can’t get a catchy tune out of her mind. She shares it with Elmer, and then he can’t get it out of his mind. Elmer continues his walk through the forest, sharing the tune with Lion and Hippo. When he meets Tiger, Tiger is already humming the tune! Elmer thought Tiger must have heard it from Rose, but Tiger heard it from Lion. Soon all the animals in the forest are humming the tune. After a day of humming the tune, they wonder how they can get the song out of their head. Finally, Elmer has an idea, and they all rid their minds of the tune. A few days later, they wonder what the tune was, but nobody can remember. Or can they?
Elmer and the Tune is a charming story. Each page is filled with bright colors, lots of word repetition, and friendly characters young readers will adore.
