In the future, climate change has made the world virtually unlivable; humanity is reduced to living in domed cities around the world while waiting for the Earth to be repaired, but all is not well in the dome city of New Worth. It is a place riven by strife between the “have and have nots,” and young Emery Driscoll is caught in the middle.

Emery Driscoll is a young college student approaching graduation when her past comes to haunt her in more ways than one. She is blackmailed to join the secret courier group Aventine and carries secrets of their clients in her blood. With the growing discontent in the city, some of the secrets that Emery takes on are dangerous. When an op goes wrong, the future of New Worth and Emery Driscoll’s life are at stake.

For a debut novel it is not that bad, but it is not great either. It varies between being a good, exciting, and fun read to kind of a slog of psychological mess that gets boring quickly.
