This book is exactly what anyone could want in a wonderfully written mystery about two women who meet and become interwoven into one another lives in more ways than one. Hannah has a secret. She beats herself up over it every day. Her internal dialogue is one of self-hatred. She thinks she deserves to eat cold pizza and forces herself to the point of torture to go running.

One day she meets India. India has a certain ‘je ne sais quo’ about her that Hannah admires from afar. In fact, when India introduces herself to Hannah, Hannah makes up a story about herself. But India, being India, has a good idea that Hannah is not telling the truth and she decides that she wants to make Hannah her project. India is a free spirit, leaving behind Simon, who could very well be the love of her life. As Hannah and India get to know one another, the reader is allowed snippets of their pasts. At the end of several chapters, there is a letter that is being passed around amongst strangers, and these letters tie everything up in the end.

This book will bring you to tears and make you happy at the same time. I absolutely could not put this one down and did not expect the ending whatsoever. A fantastic read for lovers of mystery, suspense, love, and hope.
