The Glass Castle
I give The Glass Castle by Trisha Priebe and Jerry B. Jenkins 4 out of 5 stars. This book is a Christian fiction and fantasy novel with a hint of mystery. Don’t judge a book by its genre. At first readers will question the book because it’s seems to be religious. However, once you start reading this book, you will be hooked! The Glass Castle by Trisha Priebe and Jerry B. Jenkins gives readers a combination of Alice in Wonderland meets The Chronicles of Narnia. The Glass Castle is filled with action, family distress, monarchy, child kidnapping, and fascinating characters. The protagonist’s name is Avery. At a very young age she is kidnapped in the forest and brought to a place where other children reside in secrecy. Then, the underground children begin to unite to free themselves from their prison. The language and writing style was easy to follow along. Trisha Priebe and Jerry B. Jenkins will show readers how fascinating plots can be with a simple writing style. The Glass Castle will teach its readers that the past does not dictate the future. I recommend The Glass Castle by Trisha Priebe and Jerry B. Jenkins for others to read.
