The Trial and Execution of the Traitor George Washington
This is a novel that gives all readers “food for thought” about what would happen if history had taken a different path. The entire scenario is the brain child if Charles Rosenberg, who presents it excellently. The English want Washington badly–they want him to pay for being traitor to England. Here was the plan, under the cover of night: Col. Jeremiah Block docks in the harbor in New Jersey, his mission to capture Washington and bring him back to the ship. With Washington aboard, the ship would set sail back to England where the king and court where eagerly waiting for him. He would be tried for treason against the crown and executed. The series of twists that keep one on the edge of their seat from start to finish makes this a don’t-miss piece for all history buffs and also those who like a good story. This is the first piece I’ve read from Mr Rosenberg, and I hope to read more of his work. I enjoy his style.
